Boosterthon Fun Run

This was the school's big fundraiser for the fall.  The kids got pledges and then ran laps.  Bryce ran 32 laps and was soaking wet...but smiling!  :)

My friends Angie, Sarah, and I surprised the kids with a short trip to the beach in late September.  They had Friday off from school.  We picked them up Thursday, with the vehicle already loaded, and headed to Orange Beach.

The second day was rainy, so we went to the naval museum in Pensacola.  Lots to climb on!

Double the Pleasure

Bryce was really excited about his friends' birthday party.  Any opportunity to get sweaty is all GOOD, in Bryce's opinion!

Bryce brought home this picture on Tuesday, and I was REALLY impressed!  His art teacher said she let them trace the circles for the eyes, and then she did a directed drawing (where she demonstrates what to do, and they complete it on their own paper) for the rest.  WOW!  :)

First Day of First Full Week of Kindergarten

 He was excited about seeing his friends Meredith, Avery, and Sadie, who did not attend the same day as he did last week.

No classroom pics today.  It was a full house...very busy!

Bryce's First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was a "staggered" day, which means that only Bryce and about five of his classmates will attend so that they may all learn the ropes.

He looks excited!

But he got a little clingy.

When we left, Mrs. Baker was loving on him a little.

Hopefully, the tears dried up in minutes!

Blessing of the Backpacks

Bryce was sporting a new backpack this morning for our church's "Blessing of the Backpacks."

He starts kindergarten on Wednesday!

Better late than never....

Hot Times in the A-T-L

Over Father's Day weekend, we journeyed to Atlanta to see the Braves take on the Giants.

We had been in a losing slump, but I guess the Thomases were just the good luck charm the Braves needed!  We won the first game on a walk-off single, and we went ahead 3-0 in the second game and never lost the lead.

And to think: I was worried about the black cat that crossed my path when we parked at the hotel.

 Bryce loved running home at Sky Field.

 We paused for a sit-down after Bryce ran the bases.

 These were our seats for the first game.  Front row, upper deck.  :)

 And on the second night, we were in the back row of the terrace section.  Bryce could stand up as much as he wanted.
